SECOND STAFF MEETING IN BRNO- CZECH REPUBLIC

The second Transnational Meeting took place on May, 13,14,15,16 and 17. The members of the three delegations from Italy, Spain and the host country, The Czech Republic had to take a Training Course in two different levels: B1 for the teachers of non-lingüistic subjects and C1 for the English Teachers. So, every morning, from 8.30 to 11.30 they all had to attend lessons at the Faculty of Philosophy and American Studies.

After the lessons, all of them got together at the school, to discuss about the next mobililities with the students.

In their  free time, the Italian, Spanish and Czech teachers, went on a guided tour around the city to admire the architecture of the buildings in Brno. They also visited the Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul, the old Town Hall and the Main Square, Namesti Sbovody, in Brno.

Lednice Castle, UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is one of the most visited castles in the Czech Republic. It is a chateau surrounded by one of Europe's largest parks.

                  At the Faculty of Philosophy and American Studies, where the components of the three delegations were attending an English course for a few days.

MOCK TEST

Once the exchange students were selected, they took a Mock Test just to check the level of English they had. The test took place at the end of March and the results were published on the web of every School participating in the Project. When this Project finishes, all the students will take a new test in order to see how much they have improved in English in the time the project has been implemented.

About the project
CALILIE 2018- 2020 is a project of three schools that focuses on improving students' language skills and their knowledge of the subject of History at the same time. The participant schools have chosen the CLIL method to be the major technique for the project, with English as the target language. The schools come from three different European countries (Italy, Spain and The Czech Republic), therefore international relationships and cooperation are expected to be established, resulting in enhancing participants' awareness of foreign culture.


On December 3rd, 4th, 5th, the first Transnational Meeting took place in Orte. The three delegations from Italy, Spain and the Czech Republic got together in the Istituto Omnicomprensivo, where they started to organise the timeline of the different activities and mobilities of students along the next two years.


                                                                           

                       

A member of each delegation presented their school manegement to the rest of teachers, with the help of slides or videos. In this way all of them could get to know each other better.
